IWINACInternational Work-conference on the Interplay between Natural and Artificial Computation

IWINAC2011 Pre-Organized Sessions:

S01. "Multi-robot Systems: From Physical Systems to Computational Metaphors"

Chairperson: Dario Maravall. Co-chair: Javier de Lope.

In this session we approach Multi-robot Systems as a challenging issue in the development
of advanced robotic systems and also as a powerful computational metaphor offering novel
solutions to old and well-established problems. We encourage the presentation of research
work on physical multi-robot systems and also the presentation of novel approaches and
solutions to different computer science and engineering problems in the fields of Pattern
Recognition, Computer Vision, Knowledge Representation and Robotics based on the Multi-
robot and Multi-agent computational metaphor also known as Swarm Intelligence.

Non-exhaustive list of tentative topics: multi-robot systems, swarm intelligence-based models
and applications, self-organizing and collective emerging computation, decentralized/parallel
control and computation architectures.
